Early Years

Welcome to Prestolee Primary School Early Years

At Prestolee we have established an Early Years Foundation Unit that offers children the opportunity to play, learn and progress in a stimulating environment. The Early Years Foundation Stage is about developing key learning skills such as listening, speaking, concentration, persistence and co-operation. We also work to develop early communication, literacy and numeracy skills that prepare our children for Key Stage One. During their time in Early Years children are provided with a curriculum that enables them develop a broad range of knowledge in an environment that allows children to play, explore and practise new ideas and skills.

We value our strong relationships with parents and look forward to working with you to support your child as they move through their early education. This booklet contains information you will need as your child begins their new adventure!
