 The value of French within our Curriculum

At Prestolee Primary School, we believe that it is of great importance for all children to develop an interest in learning other languages in an enjoyable and stimulating way. The study of French enables children to develop the skills and confidence to consider themselves as ‘World Citizens’ who belong in a multicultural, mutually respectful world and the learning of a language provides a valuable educational, social and cultural experience for our pupils. Furthermore, through learning a foreign language, we aim to support pupils to understand other countries and cultures so that they can be more open and adaptable to new experiences.
