Out of School Childcare
In line with continual improvement, Stoneclough Kids Club have conducted a review of childcare arrangements and concluded that changes should be made in the best interests of our children with specific needs that require additional supervision. We work hard to ensure that our provision is of a high standard, is inclusive and safe, but most importantly, meets the needs of all of the children in our care. Where additional needs are identified, Stoneclough Kids Club are now introducing additional charges to ensure that those needs for additional resource are being met. The Kids Club will also need to assess the suitability of the provision in each case to ensure that it meets your child’s needs. Sessions will be allocated where a resourced booking has been agreed and paid for two weeks in advance. These places will incur a charge per hour in lieu of the standard session charging and are subject to prior arrangement and availability. In line with best practice, we will be advertising a number of allocated sessions (normally three hours) for the holiday club. A new set of terms and conditions and further details are available on our website and our noticeboard. Please feel free to call in to discuss and/or arrange.

Community Mission and Vision
Our Mission is to provide high quality childcare that draws upon our educational expertise. We want every child who comes to Pre-School, Out of School Club, or Holiday Club to have access to high quality care. This care is coupled with activities, events, work and structures that support children in their learning journey and develop high quality social skills.
Childcare is provided as economically as possible. As part of our Community ethos we work to support families in accessing high quality and affordable childcare. Our Community Manager works to provide quality, consistency and support in all we do, linking closely with staff at Prestolee Primary School.
Below you will find a range of information about our provision. If you wish to find out more please call to arrange a visit. You would be most welcome.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SCHOOL URN (OFSTED Registration) IS NOW 141915
Prestolee Pre-school operates term time weekdays from 9:00am until 3:30pm excluding Wednesday afternoons .
Free quality childcare for 3 year olds using the government grant is provided.
Optional lunchtime extension is available for £3.00 per day.
Prestolee Pre-School is managed by the Community Centre Manager and works in close cooperation with the School and its Early Years Foundation Unit.
Joint planning, sharing expertise, working in partnership and being part of the Prestolee family is integral to how Pre-School operates. As children get older and become entitled to access provision in Nursery many take advantage of being able to spend their statutory time in EYFS and pay for extra provision in Pre-School as they value its quality, expertise and the additional dimension it gives to your child’s development.
Pre-school is of high quality, has a dedicated unit and is monitored and managed by the Community Manager. If you would like to know more about Pre-School please come in and spend some time touring the unit and chatting with staff about the provision.
